Breathing is an involuntary mechanism that we often give little to no thought about, until it affects our daily routine. Using techniques learnt by Buteyko and The Bradcliff method we unpick your symptoms and diagnose if it is a true breathing pattern disorder on first consultation. We explain our findings and the reasons behind them throughout your appointments to help you understand what changes have occurred and why.
Breathing patterns can change due to many reasons; most commonly viral infections, such as COVID-19, long term lung diseases such as COPD, asthma and pulmonary fibrosis, stress, pain and lifestyle pressures.
Ineffective breathing can lead to increased fatigue caused by our bodies using smaller muscles to compensate the quicker rate or depth of breath. We work with you to help your breathing get back on track using the latest techniques and breathing exercises.
